Agoura Keeps Weiss Benched

Forward Joel Weiss, Agoura High’s leading rebounder and second-leading scorer, did not play this week because he broke a team rule off campus, Agoura Principal Jim Christianson said Friday.
Coach Kevin Pasky is uncertain whether Weiss will be available for the Southern Section playoffs, which begin next Friday.
“I’ll find out next week from the administration what Joel’s status is,” Pasky said.
Weiss, who was an All-Marmonte League wide receiver for the Charger football team, is averaging 14.4 points and 4.8 rebounds. He did not play Wednesday against Newbury Park or Friday against Westlake.
Agoura lost to Westlake on Friday, 76-66, and finished third in the Marmonte League.
The Chargers (14-8, 8-6), will get a playoff invitation.
