After Missing Year, McKinley Back at Canyon

Coach Larry Mohr said Jeff McKinley has returned to Canyon High and will rejoin the football team. McKinley was the Cowboys’ top running back as a sophomore in 1994, rushing for 591 yards and averaging 5.2 yards a carry.

McKinley dropped out of Canyon and attended Bowman Continuation School during the 1995 fall semester, missing last season.

“He’s got a very fair and good chance of playing for us as long as he keeps his grades up,” Mohr said.
