Asthma Care at Inner-City Schools

I read with interest your article “Health Care’s Special Delivery” (April 24).

The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, Los Angeles chapter, has recently developed the Mobile Asthma Treatment Unit, the nation’s first, bringing free asthma care to high-risk inner-city children of Los Angeles at their school sites.

The Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center and the Los Angeles Unified School District are collaborating with the foundation to sponsor the Breathmobile Clinic. Private foundations have also provided support for this project.
