Ziff-Davis Buys Game Magazine Publisher: The New York-based company said it acquired Sendai Publishing Group and Decker Publications of Lombard, Ill., from founder and owner Steve Harris. Terms were not disclosed. Sendai and Decker publish seven magazines that offer news, game reviews and tips about games on systems, including Nintendo 64, 3DO, Genesis, Game Boy and Neo-Geo, Ziff-Davis said. Sendai also has a gaming site on the World Wide Web of the Internet. Ziff-Davis Publishing Co. is a subsidiary of Japan’s Softbank Corp. and is the publisher of PC Magazine, Interactive Week and PC Week. The acquisition will give it magazines that attract younger readers, it said. Harris will be vice president of online entertainment for Ziff-Davis Interactive Media & Development Group.
