The City Council recently praised the volunteer work of the Walker Junior High School Builders Club, a service organization for middle school students sponsored by Kiwanis International.
In a resolution, the council said the club members “promote the adoption of higher standards in scholastics, sportsmanship and social contacts and the development of a more concerned citizenship.”
Representing the club at the City Council meeting were four Walker Junior High students: Amber Boucher, Heather Vaughn, Nick Jensen and Mindy Wulf.
