Westlake’s Lee Picks Loyola Marymount

Outside hitter Jason Lee of Westlake High has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Loyola Marymount.
Lee, a 6-foot-6 two-time All-Marmonte League selection, chose the Lions over Cal State Northridge and Long Beach State.
Softball
Former Westlake High pitcher Kellee Murphy (24-6) of St. Joseph College in Maine has received honorable mention on the NAIA All-American team.
Baseball
San Fernando High Coach Dan Heim has resigned after three seasons for personal reasons. Heim, who will continue to teach physical education at San Fernando, said he wants to spend more time with his family.
The Tigers finished 13-14 this season and failed to make the playoffs for the third consecutive year.
An all-star game between players from the Mission and Del Rey leagues will be played Saturday at 7 p.m. at USC’s Dedeaux Field.
Football
The West Valley Eagles’ tackle football program is accepting sign-ups for players 7 to 14 for the 1996 season.
