Parish Festival to Start Today
St. Paschal Baylon Church of Thousand Oaks will kick off its 1996 Parish Festival today with carnival rides, ethic foods, bingo and an auction.
The Parish Festival, a longtime Thousand Oaks tradition, is scheduled through Sunday.
It serves as one of the major fund-raisers for the church, with the money going toward such causes as food baskets, a Christmas children’s party, senior citizen events, school endowments and the affordable-housing group Many Mansions. The event is open to the public.
The festival will include carnival rides, game booths, gift shops and music. There will also be traditional festival snacks such as hot dogs, cotton candy and popcorn as well as Italian, Mexican and Chinese food.
Festival hours will be 5 to 10 p.m. today and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
For information, call St. Paschal’s at 496-0222.
