Bear Killed

With reference to the yearling black bear that took swipes at a young child camper (“Bear Suspected in Attack on Boy Is Killed,” July 15): How very typical the human reaction. I guess no one considered the option of capture, observation and relocation of the bear. The quickest, easiest, least expensive, most uncreative response when it comes to dealing with nature always seems to be kill, kill, kill.
