I am absolutely amazed and not a little miffed at some of your readers’ denigrating views of the Colorado Rockies and Coors Field [July 6].
Aw, poor little smog-dog L.A. fans! I think your petty views are the result of jealousy. Have you been to Coors Field? It’s gorgeous. You want to tear it down and disband the Rockies? Well, why don’t you go to Denver and submit your proposal to the fans? They’d maim you and laugh you out of town. Remember, Coors Field is nearly always sold out. With fan support like that, it won’t be long before the Rockies can afford to acquire a serious pitching staff. Then you’ll really be mad, huh?
