John A. Huffman, chairman of World Vision U.S., addressed the U.S. Senate Committee on Intelligence on Bosnia Reconstruction last week on the progress of the group’s efforts in that war-torn country.
The Newport Beach resident told senators that volunteers are focusing an $8.8-million relief effort in several areas, including humanitarian aid, small-business development and counseling.
Huffman in January was appointed chairman of the relief agency’s board of directors, which oversees 4,900 aid projects in 101 countries.
