Comedy Symposium Begins Wednesday

Producers, directors, casting directors and actors will discuss the craft and business of the comedy world at “Comedy Corner ‘96,” a three-week symposium taking place Wednesday nights at CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave., Studio City.
TV and radio host Paul Ryan will moderate the sessions, which begin Wednesday with scheduled panelists including actress Joanne Worley, “The Simpsons” animation producer David Silverman, Randi Siegel of Gold/Bouchard Management and Joe Fortunato, vice president of comedy for Shukovsky/English Productions.
Scheduled panelists for Aug. 14 and 21 include actresses Estelle Getty and Nancy Dussault, “Grumpy Old Men” director Don Petrie, Improv owner Budd Friedman and “Murphy Brown” casting director Andrea Cohen.
Admission is $20 per session or $35 for all three weeks.
