Academy Program Will Honor Donen

Celebrated choreographer and director Stanley Donen will be honored Thursday at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Samuel Goldwyn Theater, 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, at 8 p.m.
Clips from more than a dozen of Donen’s films will be shown, including the famous sequence from “Anchors Aweigh” in which Gene Kelly dances with Jerry the cartoon mouse. The evening will be hosted by Turner Classic Movies’ Robert Osborne and Donen will be on hand to share his memories.
Tickets are $4 for academy members and $6 for all others.
