Diane Irvin of Pacific Palisades beat Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza, 3 and 2, in second-round match play at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship in Lincoln, Neb.
In other second-round matches, Jenny Lee of Fullerton defeated Riko Higashio of Gainsville, Fla., 1 up, and Eunice Choi of Dove Canyon lost to Joellyn Erdmann of Little Chute, Wis., 4 and 3.
In the first round, Lee beat Ann Guiberson of Castle Rock, Colo., 4 and 2; Choi beat Natalie Mosher of New Philadelphia, Ohio, 6 and 5; and Booth eliminated Kerry Zebick of Westchester, Ohio, 3 and 2.
The Coliseum Commission approved terms for a three-year lease with the Clippers to continue playing at the Sports Arena. The Clippers again have the option to leave after each year.
