Laurie, Gervais Help Bullfrogs Set RHI Record

The Bullfrogs set a Roller Hockey International record for most victories in a season and goalie Rob Laurie picked up his league-leading 14th victory as the Bullfrogs handed San Jose its second loss in a row, 9-5, Thursday at the San Jose Arena.
The Bullfrogs (20-4-2) took a 3-0 lead on goals by Tom Menicci, Jim Ficenec and Victor Gervais.
The Rhinos answered with two power-play goals by Jay Murphy and a late first-quarter goal by Alan Schuler to tie the score, 3-3.
The Bullfrogs opened the second quarter with four consecutive goals, two by Darren Perkins, and one each by Glenn Stewart and Gervais to take a 7-3 lead, and led 7-4 at the half.
Gervais, who entered the game with 77 points, one short of his regular-season career best, had two goals and four assists.
The Rhinos fell to 13-12-1 and goalie Joe Bonvie is 10-9.
