Newbury Park 38, San Marcos 7--Newbury Park’s high-powered offense exploded for five first-half touchdowns en route to a victory over visiting San Marcos (1-1).
Chris Czernek passed for 314 yards in the first half, completing 12 of 15 passes, including four touchdowns as the Panthers (2-0) rolled to a 32-0 halftime advantage.
Czernek finished with 345 yards, completing 14 of 21, with four touchdowns and one interception. Pat Reddick caught five passes for 157 yards, including a 68-yard scoring play, and Chris Garty caught four passes for 107 yards, including touchdowns of 34 and 30 yards.
