SEAL BEACH — Rockwell International Corp. completed its acquisition of San Diego-based Brooktree Corp. for $15 a share, or about $275 million.
Brooktree, which makes chips and circuits that help computers process graphics, multimedia, imaging and communications applications, will become a division of Rockwell’s Semiconductor Systems unit.
Rockwell said previously that it expects to take a one-time charge of $120 million in the quarter to write off Brooktree’s in-process research and development.
