No. 2 Capistrano Valley (2-0) vs. Foothill (1-1), Tustin HS, 7:30 p.m.
It’s difficult not to look down the road to the regular-season finale Nov. 15 between Capistrano Valley and Mater Dei. The Cougars are rolling, having scored 76 points. Foothill lost to Tustin, 29-22, and held off Woodbridge, 14-10. It needs another big game from running back Franklin Haynes if it is to have a chance for an upset. He rushed for 208 yards against Woodbridge.
