Beeson Orally Commits to CP San Luis Obispo

Brandon Beeson, a senior at Woodbridge High, has orally committed to play basketball for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, said Dave Cowen, school athletic director.

Beeson, a 6-foot-6 forward who was a second-team All-Sea View League selection, averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Amy Bubon of Westminster, who had a two-round total of 153 (78 75), Selby Schriber of Corona del Mar (77 82-159) and Sue Ewart of Seal Beach (84 76-160) were among 64 golfers who qualified Wednesday for the match-play portion of the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship at Mission Hills CC in Rancho Mirage.
