Catherine McGough

Age: 45

Occupation: Vice principal of the Huntington Beach Adult and Alternative School in the Huntington Beach Union School District.

Background: Incumbent since 1992; master’s degree in educational administration; 23 years’ experience as educator; school funding advocacy work.

Major Issues: Manage enrollment growth; guide opening of new elementary school; reduce class sizes.

AGe: 51

Occupation: Marketing manager

Background: School board president; 26 years business experience with Mobil Oil Corp.; board member of PRIDE Foundation, a DARE support group; member of high school district Community Action Panel.
