Villa Park’s DeVera Picks Arizona State

Villa Park’s Faye DeVera, The Times Orange County’s two-time girls’ tennis player of the year, orally committed to Arizona State on Wednesday night. DeVera picked Arizona State because of its coach, Sheila McInerney, and the school’s proximity to her home.
DeVera, who plans to sign a letter of intent on Nov. 13, said McInerney told her she could play anywhere from No. 2 to No. 6 in the Sun Devil lineup.
