Barry Tests Thumb by Shooting

Guard Brent Barry, who sat out two consecutive exhibition games because of a strained ligament in his left thumb, shot during Sunday’s practice at UC Irvine.
Barry, whose left hand was placed in a cast Thursday, is scheduled to be reexamined today by Dr. Tony Zoppi.

Although the Clippers have lost four of five exhibitions, forward Loy Vaught doesn’t think they are headed for their fourth consecutive losing season. “We just have to keep in mind that this is a marathon, not a sprint,” he said. “We just have to collectively come together and get on the same page.”
