From Times Wire Reports
Fighter pilots loyal to northern warlord Abdul Rashid Dostum dropped bombs near the Kabul airport, then came under attack from Taliban gunners firing antiaircraft weapons. The explosions rattled the northeastern edge of the capital, but it was not known whether there were any casualties. The attack followed reports, corroborated by a Dostum spokesman in Pakistan, that his troops were battling Taliban forces in northwestern Afghanistan.
