Madrona Elementary School’s chorus of 50 second- and third-graders will sing along with children’s recording artist Craig Taubman on Nov. 15 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
Taubman, his four-piece band and the Thousand Oaks elementary school’s primary chorus will hold two one-hour performances for children ages 2 through 10 in the Civic Arts Plaza’s Forum Theatre, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., at 5 and 7 p.m.
“He does a lot of rock ‘n’ roll. It’s very upbeat and up-tempo,” said Nancy Frawley, director of the Conejo Valley Children’s Concert Series, which is sponsoring the event.
Taubman, who sings about life from a kid’s perspective under the name “Craig & Co.,” has recorded five children’s albums for Disney Records.
His latest recording, titled “Imaginit,” was recently released by BMG Records.
Tickets for either performance are $7.50 and are available at the Civic Arts Plaza box office; Conejo Valley Adult School, 1025 Old Farm Road in Thousand Oaks; the Power of Play, 5871 Kanan Road in Agoura Hills; and via mail order.
For more information or to purchase tickets, call Frawley at (805) 493-4348.
