Woman Arrested in Raid on Home

A woman was arrested and two ounces of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $2,000 were seized during a Tuesday morning raid on a home near west Ventura, authorities said.
Police also found about $1,100 in cash, five police scanners, a rifle, burglary tools and drug paraphernalia in the Cypress Lane residence.
The home’s occupant, 36-year-old Valerie Denise Olmos, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. A 13-year-old girl was also found at the home and later released to relatives.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department narcotics detectives and Oxnard and Port Hueneme police took part in the raid.
