On Assignment’s Quarterly Net Up 38% to $1.6 Million

On Assignment Inc., a Calabasas firm that supplies temporary workers to a variety of industries, reported a 38% jump in net income on a 21% increase in revenues during the third quarter.
In the period that ended Sept. 30, On Assignment posted net income of $1.6 million, up from $1.1 million a year ago. Revenues in the latest quarter rose to $23.3 million from $19.2 million.
For the nine months, On Assignment’s net income jumped 26% to $3.8 million, from $3.0 million a year ago. Nine-month revenues climbed 21% to $63.6 million, up from $52.5 million.
The company provides temporary workers to scientific, environmental and financial firms.
