CoCensys Posts Loss

IRVINE — CoCensys Inc., a developer of products to treat neurological and psychiatric disorders, said it lost $5.8 million, or 26 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $5.2 million, or 27 cents a share, for the comparable period last year. Revenue declined 52% to $1.3 million from $2.7 million. For the nine months, the net loss was $12 million, or 55 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $16.6 million, or $1.00 a share, for the same period in 1995. Revenue more than doubled to $9.9 million from $4.8 million.
