Corson Explains His Slow Start

Left wing Shayne Corson said a recurrence of ulcerative colitis, which he has had since he was 15, has contributed to his slow start with the Montreal Canadiens, who acquired him three weeks ago from the St. Louis Blues.

Pittsburgh Penguin prospect Stefan Bergkvist will undergo surgery next month for a tumor in the hearing nerve on the right side of his head.
The tumor was diagnosed by doctors in Cleveland after Bergkvist had suffered headaches for nearly five weeks, the Penguins announced.
