The Cal State Northridge women’s volleyball team started the season 0-8, but the Matadors went unbeaten in the Big Sky Conference and can earn the league’s berth in the NCAA Tournament by winning the conference tournament at Northridge.
The Matadors (20-10) play Northern Arizona (14-16) at 7 tonight in a semifinal match.
Other women’s volleyball matches, at 7 p.m.: Canyons at Pierce; Santa Barbara at Ventura.
Men’s Basketball: At 7 p.m., Rio Hondo at Glendale; At 7:30 p.m., L.A. Southwest at Oxnard.
Women’s Basketball: At 7 p.m., Cal Poly SLO at Pepperdine.
Women’s Soccer: At 3 p.m., Ventura at Moorpark.
Swimming: At 3 p.m., Malibu Invitational at Pepperdine.
Girls’ Tennis: At 2 p.m., Verdugo Hills High will face Carson in the City Section 3-A Division team final at the Studio City Racquet Centre, if weather permits.
Also at 2 p.m., several Southern Section teams from the region have semifinal playoff matches. In Division III, Camarillo hosts Newport Harbor and Westlake plays Harvard-Westlake at the Racquet Centre.
In Division IV, Calabasas plays at Rosary and San Marino plays at Chaminade.
