Camera Platforms, a Valencia maker of equipment used in film shoots, said its loss for the third quarter that ended Sept. 30 was $189,000, 13% larger than last year’s third-quarter loss of $167,000. Revenue was $1.05 million, up 13% from $929,000 a year ago.
For the first nine months of 1996, the loss widened to $1.1 million from $538,000 in the corresponding period of 1995. Revenue for the first nine months was $2.63 million, down 19% from $3.24 million last year.
The company said year-to-date revenue fell because of the termination of some rental agreements, reduced sales of ballasts and removal of equipment from service.
