Schintzius Not Feeling Well

Center Dwayne Schintzius, who sat out his second consecutive game, said he hasn’t been able to eat solid food for a week because of a stomach ailment.
Schintzius, who was hospitalized briefly Sunday while the Clippers were in San Antonio, thinks he may have an ulcer.
“I feel fine, but I can’t eat and I have no energy,” Schintzius said. “I’ve lost about eight pounds from not eating.
“I’ve tried to eat some nutmeg shakes and some [energy bars] to keep me going. I just don’t want to die.”

Forward Lamond Murray was held out of Tuesday’s 87-80 victory at Toronto by Coach Bill Fitch. It was the second time in 32 games that Murray was benched by Fitch.
“If you stay in this league long enough, you’ll see everything,” Fitch said. “At about the eight minute mark [of the fourth quarter] I hollered down for Lamond and they said he was in [the restroom]. He had stomach cramps, but he said he was all right after that.”
