Orange County will be well represented at President Clinton’s inaugural festivities in Washington next week.
Newport Beach native Michelle Bonner has been chosen to design a media center large enough for the 17,000 reporters who will cover the event.
Irvine’s Gregory Chang will be joining Bonner in the nation’s capital to serve as deputy director of youth outreach for the 1997 Presidential Inaugural Committee. He will be responsible for ensuring that young leaders have a role to play in the 53rd inaugural activities.
Bonner and Chang will be working with the theme of the inauguration, “An American Journey: Building a Bridge to the 21st Century.”
Chang is a graduate of Irvine’s University High School, and Bonner is an alumna of Newport Harbor High School and UCLA.
