Fund-Raiser Blooms With Cancer Society

For some, a bouquet of flowers means love. For the American Cancer Society, a bunch of daffodils means hope--hope for a world without cancer.

For the 12th year running, the Greater Conejo Valley Unit of the American Cancer Society will sell the chipper yellow blooms as part of a fund-raiser called Daffodil Days. The money from flower sales benefits cancer research, education and service programs locally.

A bouquet of 10 blooms delivered to a sweetheart, a friend, a relative or a co-worker costs $7. For another $3, a vase is included.

The American Cancer Society is also seeking volunteers to deliver the flowers the week of March 17.

For information, call the society at 497-0114, or send a fax to 497-9800.
