Moorpark Shot Down by Santa Paula, 76-59

Josh Jimenez scored 22 points and Santa Paula High defeated Moorpark, 76-59, Tuesday night in a Frontier League game at Moorpark.

The Cardinals (9-6, 1-1 in league) made 55.3% of their shots and were never threatened.

Mike Kolbeck had 18 points and Juan Guzman 14 for Santa Paula.

Kelani Ferreria scored 18 points for Moorpark (13-6, 1-1). Musketeer center Kevin Lawrence, averaging 19 points, was held to 12.

Montclair Prep 57, Pacific Hills 56--Carlease Clark went the length of the floor for a layup with five seconds remaining to lift the Mounties in a nonleague game at Daniel Murphy High.

L.A. Baptist 83, Marshall 67--Jermaine Sweet scored 41 points, breaking his school single-game scoring record by one point, for the No. 9-ranked Knights (14-1, 3-0) in an Alpha League victory at Marshall (9-6, 2-1).

Antelope Valley 79, Littlerock 53--The No. 3-ranked Antelopes scored the first 27 points against the Lobos (2-15) in a Golden League opener at Littlerock.

Le’Tre Kelly had 11 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists for Antelope Valley (13-5).
