Disneyland Tradition: the Spring Price Hike

Speaking of pirates, it didn’t take park brass long after the attraction’s reopening to jack up the price of its benchmark one-day adult admission to $36.
The $2 price hike came a mere week after the park’s most popular attraction returned from a two-month rehab--and just in time to squeeze some extra cash from the spring break crowds.
The increase has become an annual rite of spring at Disneyland, but it came a bit later than usual this year. Insiders attribute the delay to all the construction and remodeling that’s going on park-wide, which has taken more attractions than usual out of commission.
Pirates notwithstanding, much of Disneyland is still a work in progress. Near the Small World attraction in Fantasyland, for example, construction teams are working furiously to erect a new viewing platform for the upcoming Light Magic parade.
They’ve erected so many barriers to hide the construction that employees have taken to calling the area “Wall World.”
