* Re “Fong Returns $100,000 in Gifts,” April 23: The dichotomy between Democrats and Republicans tripped up by questionable Indonesian campaign donations could not be greater. While state Treasurer Matt Fong gave back the $100,000 in question, the Democratic National Committee is still giving the tainted money back.
One party actually does what it says, the other one just states its good intentions and hopes that no one checks to see if it actually follows through. I hope The Times will continue to follow this story to determine whether the DNC actually keeps its word, as Fong already has.
