Westcorp: The Irvine financial services holding company Tuesday announced a first-quarter profit of $7.9 million, or 30 cents per share, down 19.4% from $9.8 million, or 38 cents per share, for the year-earlier first quarter. Revenue totaled $124.2 million, up 22.5% from $101.4 million. Westcorp’s principal subsidiaries are Western Financial Bank and WFS Financial Inc., which is a separately traded company.
