Museums, Sites Will Observe National Day

Five Pasadena-area museums and architectural sites will open their doors free on May 18 in observance of National Museums Day.
Participating institutions are the Gamble House designed by architects Greene & Greene, at 4 Westmoreland Place; Pasadena Heritage Square Museum, an outdoor park and showcase of Victorian architecture, at 3800 Homer St., Los Angeles; Pasadena Historical Museum, one of the last mansions on “Millionaire’s Row,” at 470 Walnut St., Pasadena; and the Southwest Museum, home to the renowned collection of American Indian art and artifacts, at 234 Museum Dr.
All venues will be open from 11 a.m.-5p.m.; free shuttles will be provided. Information: (213) 740-TOUR.
