Dinley Has the Hits to Lead Cypress Past Pacifica, 5-2

Ryan Dinley had a double and home run to help Cypress to a 5-2 victory over visiting Pacifica in a nonleague baseball game Monday.
It was the fourth home run of the season for Dinley. Cypress (11-8-2) scored twice in the first inning and three times in the third to open a 5-0 lead.
Pacifica (13-9) scored single runs in the fourth and sixth.
In Arrowhead League softball:
Southern California Christian 11, Riverside La Sierra Academy 0--Natalie Hernandez had a bases-loaded triple and later scored in a six-run third inning as the Flames (12-1, 6-0) remained undefeated in league play.
In Golden West League boys’ volleyball:
Tustin 3, Saddleback 0--Tustin locked up no worse than a tie for the league title with the 15-9, 15-6, 15-1 victory as Eduardo Araza had 12 kills. The Tillers (12-2, 8-1) can take the league title outright with a victory Thursday at Santa Ana.
In Century League boys’ tennis:
Canyon 18, Orange 0--With the victory, Canyon remained in a first-place tie with Foothill. Canyon is at Foothill on Wednesday in a match that will decide the league title.
Foothill 14, El Modena 4--Jeff Barry and Ryan Katzman led a Foothill sweep in doubles and Joost Hol won his three sets in singles for the Knights (13-5, 8-1).
