School Chief Brings New Meaning to ‘Homework’
- Share via
RAYMOND, Neb. — Some people live for work. Robert Broomfield wants to live at work.
The school superintendent says he has too much homework and that living in a mobile home on school grounds will allow him to attend more meetings and supervise other activities. “I feel I need to be here. This job is very time consuming,” Broomfield said.
The arrangement also will provide extra surveillance for the school in this town of 167.
It seems that he will get his wish. The school board voted, 5-0, in June to accept Broomfield’s proposal, which now awaits approval of a city-county permit.
