Woods Can Also Double Up

Add quarterback Quincy Woods to the list of USC’s double-threat players. He lined up at receiver a number of times Thursday and caught a 20-yard pass, but still took his regular snaps as backup quarterback.
“Don’t misread it and say we’re about to move him. That’s not our plan,” Coach John Robinson said, though he admitted Woods could play receiver if needed. “He’s got great athletic ability, and he knows the passing game.”
Woods said he’s still focused on trying to regain the quarterback’s job from sophomore John Fox.
“I feel like I’ve got to fight back,” said Woods, who is also a sophomore. “I’m going to come back strong.”
