3 Teens Arrested in Skateboard Robbery

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Police arrested three teenagers on suspicion of stealing skateboards from another group of youngsters Saturday after threatening them with a chain and a stick near Pacific Coast Highway and 9th Street.
The suspects allegedly threw the skateboards inside a van and were headed south toward Newport Beach when an officer spotted the vehicle. Someone had called police about the robbery and described the van, Police Lt. Jon Arnold said.
Officers arrested two juveniles and 18-year-old Enrique Robledo Martinez of Long Beach. Martinez was being held at the city jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, Arnold said.
