Man Killed While Walking on Freeway

ANAHEIM — A 39-year-old man was struck and killed while walking on the Riverside Freeway, and officers are still investigating the circumstances of his death, authorities said Saturday.
About 11:45 p.m. Friday, Ciprieno Alviar was struck by a car and a truck on the westbound Riverside Freeway east of Lemon Street. He died at the scene, a coroner’s representative said.
Investigators said they did not know why the Anaheim man was walking on the freeway.
