Deputies Find Dead Man in Ransacked Apartment

A 54-year-old man has been found dead in his ransacked apartment in the 1400 block of North Laurel Avenue.
A friend called the West Hollywood sheriff’s station Monday because the man had not been heard from since Friday. Deputies arriving shortly after noon found blood throughout the apartment.
Authorities said a television, stereo, photocopier and computer equipment were missing from the apartment. Also missing was the man’s brown 1963 Corvair convertible. The car’s California license plate number is 3JFX131.
Sheriff’s deputies request that anyone with information about the case contact homicide Dets. Richard Longshore or Ron Bosket at (213) 890-5500 .
The sheriff’s homicide bureau had not released the victim’s name Tuesday afternoon.
