A High-Class Class for Gourmet Picnics

For those who want more than hot dogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for their outdoor outings, the Huntington Beach Community Services Department is offering a class in “Gourmet Picnics.”

The three-hour workshop will show people how they can pack an impressive and tantalizing basket with herb marinated vegetables, chicken Caesar salad, tortellini-pesto salad with tomatoes, cold broccoli salad and Viennese chocolate torte, among other goodies.

The class begins at 7 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Edison Community Center, 21377 Magnolia St. The fee is $34.
