Rob Laurie’s 45-save performance, followed by brilliant work in the shootout, led the Bullfrogs to a 5-4 Roller Hockey International victory over St. Louis on Saturday night at the Kiel Center.
Wayne Anchikoski scored two goals in the fourth quarter for the Vipers, including the game-tying goal with less than two minutes to play, to force a shootout.
Glenn Stewart scored his 23rd goal of the season to give the Bullfrogs their first lead of the night, 3-2. Doug McCarthy, Jim Ficenec and Todd Wetzel also contributed a goal for the Bullfrogs. Victor Gervais had two assists.
This was Anaheim’s second consecutive road victory.
