Pasadena 33, Hoover 14--The Tornadoes (1-8, 0-4) had no answer for the Pasadena ground game, which amassed 370 yards at Pasadena.
Welser Maltez completed 14 of 36 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns for Hoover, which trailed, 21-7, at halftime, and never got close.
Sal Hernandez had six receptions for 70 yards and caught scoring passes of five and 13 yards from Maltez.
Tyrone Burwell ran for 135 yards in 16 carries and scored two touchdowns for the Bulldogs (4-5, 2-2), who held the Tornadoes to one rushing yard.
