Artists, entertainers and volunteers are being sought for the city’s seventh First Night Fullerton celebration.
The alcohol-free New Year’s Eve event, billed as a family-oriented party, takes place downtown and offers a variety of art and cultural activities. This year’s festivities will begin at 5 p.m. and end at midnight with a fireworks display.
Street performers, theater troupes and storytellers may apply. Event organizers said the city especially is seeking entertainment with multicultural appeal, including signed storytelling for the hearing impaired and bilingual productions.
Proposals may be sent to First Night 1998 Call to Artists, Fullerton Museum Center, 301 N. Pomona Ave., Fullerton, CA 92832. Those selected may be eligible for honorariums.
The city is also seeking volunteers to help with ticket sales and other duties. Information: (714) 738-5332.
