Artists to Contend in Juried Competition

Dozens of artists countywide will compete for accolades and cash in the inaugural “Echoes and Vision” art show Nov. 22 and 23.
Jurors will include officials from art repositories including the UCLA/Armand Hammer Museum and the Stary-Sheets Gallery in Laguna Beach. They will judge pieces in watercolors, oils and mixed-media.
Viewing will be free at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center, 24602 Aliso Creek Road, from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 23.
A catered cocktail party will be held on Nov. 22 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Proceeds will support an arts scholarship program run by the event’s sponsor, the Laguna Niguel Community Events Committee.
