Walks, Talks, Shows and Special Sales

Saturday and Nov. 30: Asian American Bonsai and Orchid Society bonsai show, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with demonstrations at 1 p.m., at the Arboretum of Los Angeles County, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, (626) 447-8207. Adults $5; seniors and students, $3; children, $1.

Volunteers and docents are needed at the Huntington Botanical Gardens to lead tours in the camellia and desert gardens and for special hands-on tasks. Specialized training will be offered by the camellia garden curator Monday and Dec. 1 at 9:30 a.m., and by the desert garden curator on Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26, at 9:30 a.m. For details, call the volunteer office, (626) 405-2127.
