Job-Listing Service Available Online

The Oxnard office of the Employment Development Department has a new job-listing service that can be accessed from home computers.
The service, called SHARE/AJB, is free for both California employers and job seekers.
SHARE is an acronym for Sharing Available Resources for Employment, and AJB stands for America’s Job Bank, a national job listing service.
“This new employment system is user-friendly and will increase the number of job opportunities available to job seekers and the number of job applicants available to employers,” said Larry Kennedy, manager of the Oxnard EDD office.
Employers may call or fax their job listings to a local EDD Job Service office, and staff members will enter the listings into the system. The listings are then available for job seekers to view through SHARE or AJB. Many job listings will include the employer’s name, so applicants can contact the company directly.
“Job seekers can view the job openings at EDD locations, One-Stop Career Centers and through AJB from any Internet access point, including home computers,” Kennedy said. “The system is easy to use and is self-directed.”
Additional information is available from the Oxnard EDD office, (805) 382-8610, or at EDD’s Web site: www.edd.cahwnet.gov.
